Case Summary:

 
 

Representative plaintiff George Wilson, on behalf of all others similarly situated, filed a Complaint in San Francisco County Superior Court on May 13, 2011. The lawsuit is on behalf of all persons employed as non-exempt retail employees in California. It alleges that Walgreen's failed to provide those employees with full meal and/or rest periods in violation of California law. The lawsuit further alleges that Walgreen's required those employees to remain at work without being compensated for security searches, in violation of California law. The proposed plaintiff class seeks to recover unpaid wages, including interest, meal and rest period compensation, penalties, an injunction and other equitable relief and fees and costs for the period of November 4, 2009 through the present.
